Nikkei Opens Higher After Dow Hits All-Time High
TOKYO (NQN)--Tokyo stocks opened higher Wednesday, with the Nikkei Stock Average jumping 138.69 points to begin the day at 14,464.67.
The Dow Jones industrial average hit an all-time high overnight on speculation that the U.S. Federal Reserve Board will continue its quantitative easing measures for the time being.
Also, the dollar's rise to the lower-98 yen level, the currency's strongest level in a week, is prompting buying of exporters.
