DJ: Japan's Auto Production Up 13% In Sept
TOKYO--Production of cars, trucks and buses in Japan rose for the first time in more than a year in September from a year earlier when the end of the government buying incentives dented demand.
Vehicle output increased to 873,623 vehicles in September, up 13% from 772,900 vehicles in the same month a year earlier, rising for the first time in 13 months, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said Wednesday.
Domestic vehicle demand totaled 522,760, up 17.0%.
