Daihatsu To Exhibit Mini Sports Car At Tokyo Motor Show
TOKYO (Nikkei)--Daihatsu Motor Co. (7262) said Wednesday it will show its Copen, a mini sports car with interchangeable plastic exterior panels, as part of its exhibition at the Tokyo Motor Show, which opens Nov. 20.
The Copen is the successor to a mini convertible Daihatsu stopped producing in 2012. It is expected to hit the market next spring.
The automaker will also be exhibiting the Deca Deca, a mini wagon measuring 1,850mm tall -- 100mm taller than the company's Tanto wagon.
Daihatsu also plans to unveil three new models for the first time, including a next-generation fuel cell vehicle with a proprietary fuel cell system that does not contain platinum.
