Nikkei Ends Down Tad On U.S. Fiscal Deadlock
TOKYO (NQN)--Tokyo stocks edged lower Thursday, with the Nikkei Stock Average falling 13 points, or 0.09%, to end the day at 14,157.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell overnight in reaction to the deadlock between the Democrats and Republicans over the budget, fueling selling of blue chips on the Tokyo market Thursday.
The dollar rose to the upper-97 yen range, however, lending support to the benchmark index.
