FSA To Recruit Ex-MOF Career Bureaucrat
TOKYO (Nikkei)--The Financial Services Agency plans to hire Yoshio Horimoto, a former Finance Ministry career bureaucrat who is now working in the private sector. The agency will make the official announcement as early as this week.
Horimoto joined the Ministry of Finance in 1990 and moved to the FSA before landing a job at U.S. consultant agency Promontory Financial Group Global Services Japan.
Employing the know-how he acquired in the private sector, Horimoto will serve as deputy director general responsible for the agency's financial monitoring program operated jointly by the supervisory and inspection bureaus.
