Prince Hotels Unveils Revamped Luxury Hotel In Tokyo
TOKYO (Nikkei)--Prince Hotels Inc. hosted a preview event Wednesday at its newly renovated flagship hotel, the Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, in the capital's Shinagawa district.
The luxury hotel, which will officially reopen Saturday, features 288 guest rooms decorated in calm, understated Japanese tones. A 900 million yen renovation project boosted the number of double bedrooms by 60% to 134 while adding Western-style restaurants.
The Sakura Tower has joined Marriott International Inc.'s exclusive franchise chain and will operate as an Autograph Collection hotel. Prince Hotels aims to lift the ratio of foreign guests to 50% in fiscal 2014 from just under 20% in fiscal 2012.
