Nitto Denko, Tokyo Fudosan To Be Added To Nikkei Index
TOKYO (Nikkei)--Nitto Denko Corp. (6988) and Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corp. (3289) will become new constituents of the Nikkei Stock Average, Nikkei Inc. said Friday.
Materials maker Nitto Denko will replace Tokyu Land Corp. (8815) on Sept. 26 when the real estate firm is delisted due to corporate reorganization. On Oct. 2, Tokyu Fudosan Holdings, a holding company that will take over the business of Tokyu Land, will replace Mitsubishi Paper Mills Ltd. (3864), whose market liquidity has declined. Presumed par value is 50 yen each for the two newcomers.
The change will keep the number of the index's constituents at 225 stocks.
