Shinsei Bank Appoints 1st Female Executive

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Shinsei Bank (8303) has named Markets Sub-Group General Manager Takako Masai as an executive officer starting April 1.

Masai, 48, becomes the first female executive officer at the bank. She will also head a new markets research department, the bank said Friday.

Masai joined Shinsei Bank in 2007 after working as a currency dealer for a foreign bank in Tokyo. She has held her current post since 2011.
