Sony Sells New York Office Building For $1.1bn

TOKYO (NQN)--Sony Corp. (6758) said Monday that it has completed the sale of its office building in New York to a consortium led by Chetrit Group.

The building, which wholly owned subsidiary Sony Corp. of America has used as its headquarters, has been sold for 1.1 billion dollars (about 104 billion yen).

Sony plans to book an operating profit of roughly 685 million dollars (about 65 billion yen) for the fiscal year to the end of this month.
