LDP Eyes Allocating 60 Lower House Seats To Smaller Parties

TOKYO (Kyodo)--The ruling Liberal Democratic Party's leadership proposed Thursday to preferentially allocate 60 of the 150 seats in Japan's powerful lower house elected through the proportional representation system to smaller political parties, LDP lawmakers said.
