Nikkei Opens Lower On Pause In Yen's Decline

TOKYO (NQN)--Tokyo stocks opened lower Wednesday, with the Nikkei Stock Average falling 62 points, or 0.5%, to 12,252.

The dollar fell to the upper-95 yen range, prompting investors to sell blue-chip exporters, such as car makers. A broad range of issues including drugmakers and telecom firms are a target of selling, in line with short-term market overheating.
