DJ: Nomura Appoints Shigesuke Kashiwagi As New CFO

TOKYO--Nomura Holdings Inc. (8604) said Tuesday it has appointed Shigesuke Kashiwagi as the chief financial officer, effective April 1.

Mr. Kashiwagi has been corporate offficer of government affairs and risk advisory group at Japan's largest broker since April last year and serves as senior managing director.

The incoming CFO has worked in New York as head of U.S. operations.

Current CFO, Junko Nakagawa, who became the first-ever female senior executive officer at Nomura in 2011, will be responsible for group internal audit.
