China Opens Legislature Session To Elect New State Leadership

BEIJING (Kyodo)--China's parliament opened an annual session Tuesday to elect a new state leadership under Communist Party head Xi Jinping, with the country facing mounting challenges including air pollution, corruption, a widening wealth gap, and territorial tensions with Southeast Asian neighbors and Japan.
