Car Sales Fall 12.2% In Feb

TOKYO (NQN)--Car sales for February fell 12.2% on the year to 292,399 units, marking the sixth straight month of decline, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association reported Friday.

Sales of passenger cars fell 13.3% to 261,585 units. Sales of regular passenger cars slid 11% to 125,356 units, while those of small passenger cars dropped 15.4% to 136,229 units.

Sales of regular trucks rose 1% to 10,749 units.
