Asics Receives Y1.8bn Tax Refund From Japan, Australia

OSAKA (Kyodo)--Asics Corp. has received a total of 1.8 billion yen in tax refunds from Japanese and Australian tax authorities over transactions on brand license royalties with an Australian subsidiary after the authorities agreed to avoid double taxation for the Japanese sports' gear maker, sources close to the matter said Friday.
