Stocks Fall Slightly On Profit-Taking

TOKYO (NQN)--Tokyo shares fell slightly on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Nikkei Stock Average dropping 12.71 points, or 0.11%, to 11,395.16.

After the benchmark index surged 234 points Monday, investors started selling stocks to lock in recent gains.

But the market later strengthened as bargain hunters started to buy stocks on expectations that stocks would continue to rise.

The dollar fell to the mid-93 yen level in the morning, but later bounced back slightly, encouraging investors to buy on dips.
