Parties To Scrap Rule On Media Disclosure Of Likely Govt Nominees

TOKYO (Kyodo)--The ruling and opposition parties agreed Tuesday to scrap a Diet rule that prevented the government from nominating individuals for executive positions at state-linked bodies if their prospective nominations had been reported in advance by news media, lawmakers said.
