DJ: Japanese Cos, Kazakhstan Sign MOU on Nuclear Power Cooperation

TOKYO--Japan Atomic Power Co. and Marubeni Corp. (8002) said Monday that they have signed a preliminary agreement with the Kazakhstan government to cooperate in Kazakhstan's introduction of nuclear power.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Japanese side will help the Central Asian country conduct a feasibility study, build and operate nuclear power plants and develop the necessary human resources, the agreement said.
