DJ: BOJ Nishimura Says Employment Part Of BOJ Sustainable Econ Growth Goal

TOKYO--Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Kiyohiko Nishimura said Monday that creating jobs is part of the central bank's official goal.

"As clearly stipulated in the Bank of Japan law, we are conducting monetary policy to bring about sustainable economic growth with price stability," Mr. Nishimura said. "This sustainable economic growth covers various aspects, and employment is certainly among them."
