Japan Holds 1st Panel Meeting On U.S.-Style Security Council

TOKYO (Kyodo)--The Japanese government on Friday convened its first meeting of a panel of experts to discuss how to create a Japanese version of the U.S. National Security Council to strengthen the leadership role of the prime minister's office in global affairs.
