Japanese Tanker Explodes Near Strait Of Hormuz, Injuring One

TOKYO (Dow Jones)--A Japanese tanker exploded near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, leaving one person injured, according to the owner of the ship, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd., Kyodo news reported.

The tanker may have been attacked by an outside force, Mitsui O.S.K. said.

A total of 31 Indian and Filipino crew members were aboard the ship, the company said.
