Hello Kitty Summer Robes Come In 2 Pieces For Easy Use

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Sanrio Co. (8136) on Wednesday will release a new series of yukata-like summer wear, with most easy to put on even for children not used to wearing traditional Japanese clothing.

A sundress with a jacket resembling a yukata, or summer kimono, will retail for 4,514 yen. To complete the look, the wearer can put on a separately sold belt over the jacket.

Another set in the series will come with a jacket and short skirt. The offerings, to be sold at Sanrio's directly run shops and department stores, will also include sandals and regular yukata.

The robes will feature Hello Kitty, Sugarbunnies or other major Sanrio characters. The dress and the skirt can be worn independently, without the jackets.
