What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. With RSS you will have access to constantly updated headlines from Nikkei.com, plus content from other sites of your choice, automatically gathered in one convenient place to manage your web-site reading.

How to use RSS

To use RSS, you will need a special RSS news reader or aggregator that will allow you to collect & display RSS feeds. There are many readers available, and many are free of charge. Most news readers are applications that you download and install. Web-based services that work inside your browser are also available.
For an overview of what RSS is and what it can do for you, please view the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS

Once you have set up your news reader, you will be ready to use Nikkei.com's RSS feeds. Nikkei.com offers several RSS feeds for use in news readers, and each includes the latest headlines and links back to Nikkei.com for the full article.

To subscribe an Nikkei.com RSS feed, right-click on the orange XML button next to the feed you wish to receive from the list offered below and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" to copy the location (URL) of the feed. Follow the instructions for your particular news reader, and then paste this URL wherever it asks for the location of the feed you wish to receive.
