News Clipping

News Clipping allows you to create up to five folders, each with three keyword sets, to search and retrieve Nikkei news. You will receive your first e-mail the day after registration if there are relevant articles. You will also be able to view the top three stories for each of the news folders on the NIKKEI.com Home page, updated throughout the day.

To create a news folder

1. Select Edit on the News page to create/update folders.
2. Create a title for the folder.
3. Type keywords into the appropriate boxes. Note: Each search operation requires a title and at least one keyword.
4. Use AND between keywords to narrow searches; use "or" to expand searches. For example: Toyota and Nissan will retrieve all articles mentioning both these companies; Toyota or Nissan will retrieve all articles mentioning at least one of the two.
5. Please click Save All to finalize the changes.
6. To view the articles which match your keyword query, visit the News Clipping page and click "Find."

To receive headlines via e-mail each day

1. Please click the "Send me these articles each day by e-mail" box.
2. Please select and enter one e-mail address.
   (Note that the e-mail address you enter is used for all news folders, meaning that you can have headlines sent to only one long-format e-mail address or one short-format e-mail address. If you do not receive any e-mail, please check that your e-mail address is correctly entered on the Edit page and that you have checked the "Send me these articles each day by e-mail" box. If there are any difficulties in sending out e-mails to you, an error message will be displayed on the screen).
3. Select a preferred receiving time, and click Save All at the bottom of the page to activate the function.

An e-mail is sent only if there are relevant articles in the past 48 hours. Up to 20 headlines are sent out for long-format e-mail, and a total of four headlines for short-format e-mail.  If you have any questions, please contact Customer Support.
