Nikkei Index

This section offers data on Nikkei's indexes, including the Nikkei 225 Stock Average, Nikkei 500 Stock Average and the Nikkei Stock Index 300. In addition to lists of index components and historical data, this section includes announcements on changes to the makeup of the indexes.

Daily open, high, low and close figures for the Nikkei 225 date back to March 25, 1985, and daily close figures are available back to May 16, 1949. The Nikkei 300, daily open, high, low and close figures date back to January 31, 1994, and daily close figures dating back to October 1, 1982, are available. For the Nikkei 500, daily open, high, low and close figures date back to October 1, 1985, and daily close figures date back to January 4, 1972. Figures are updated following the close of trade each day.
