Automatic Log-in Setup and Troubleshooting

If you do not wish to log in each time you access Nikkei.com, you can use the automatic log-in function. To set up automatic log-in:

  • Click on any of the headlines on the front page.
  • A log-in page will appear. Please enter your log-in details, check the "Remember Me" option below the log-in boxes (this will enable the auto-log-in), and click Log-in.
  • Please enter your log-in details, check the Remember Me option below the log-in boxes (this will enable the auto-log-in), and click Log-in.

The option will be saved so that the next time you access Nikkei.com, you will not need to enter your log-in details.
If you wish to disable the automatic log-in option, please log out on the Home page.
Please note that the automatic log-in system works only if your computer stores our long-term log-in cookie after you select the "Remember Me" option on the log-in page.
If you are able to log in to Nikkei.com and use our services, this means that our session cookies (which allow access immediately after log-in until you close the browser) are being accepted by your computer.

However, if your browser is set to delete all cookies after each session or if you are using cookie management software on your machine (or your network environment includes this type of software), our long term cookie may be erased periodically for security purposes. If this is the case, you will be able to log in to see Nikkei.com but our automatic log-in function will not work on that machine/network and we apologize for this inconvenience.
