Changing your credit card information

If the expiration date for your registered credit card has been extended, or if you would like to use a different card, please update your credit card information in Account Details to ensure that your subscription renewals are processed without difficulty. You will need to enter the complete credit card number even when you are only making a change to the expiration date.

The updated credit card details will be used for all subsequent subscription renewals and Premium Option billings. All subscription renewals are processed automatically on the 15th day of the last month of your subscription period. If your subscription cannot be renewed automatically (due to outdated credit card information for your subscription billing or difficulty with your credit card) we will send you a "NIKKEI.com: Renewal Failure" e-mail notice. You will need to update the credit card details and renew your subscription in the Account Details section before your subscription expires.

If the card is not renewed online before your subscription expires, the account will not be accessible. To reactivate your subscription, it is necessary to contact Customer Support.

This must be done within 30 days of the expiration, and cannot be done with subscriptions that were canceled. After 30 days have passed, it is necessary to re-register for a new subscription online.
Please note that if you re-register you will lose any options you had set up in the Personal Nikkei section, and the discounted subscription renewal fees will not apply.

The entire Account Details section, including the credit card update page, uses SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to protect your sensitive personal information.
