Canceling your subscription

If you are still in the trial period (at least two weeks, depending on the day of the month you register; for details please go to Subscription Information), you can cancel any time before the paid subscription period begins and your card will not be charged.

Please go to Account Details and select the Cancel Trial Subscription option. Follow the instructions on the screen to cancel (you will see a confirmation message on the final screen). If you are already in the paid subscription period, you can cancel the next automatic subscription renewal at any time before the renewal date if you no longer require your subscription. Please go to Account Details and select the Cancel Subscription Renewal option. Follow the instructions on the screen to cancel (you will see a confirmation message on the final screen). Even if the subscription is canceled, you may still access the site until the subscription expires.

Any Premium Options (Nikkei Veritas and Nikkei Archives) you are subscribed to will also expire at the end of your subscription period. If you are subscribing to them on a monthly basis and would like to cancel them before the main subscription expires, this must be done separately in the Adding/Canceling your Premium Options page in Account Details. If this is not done, the account will remain active and the credit card will be charged until the main subscription expires.
